The solution is simple, effective inexpensive.
Our stiffner is made of .60 grade aluminum. Not only is this an inexpensive material, it is also very lightweight. It only adds a few ounces to the existing awning. It is the design of our Stiffner that makes it strong. Our awning will not allow the roller tubes to bow, bend or break. The weight bearing way out exceeds the weight limit that is on the arm hardware. The secret to keeping the tubes from bowing is to keep build-up from getting into the fabric. The fabric is taught because the roller tube does not allow for bowing. With the tube uncompromised, the fabric will not hold any debris or rain water. The debris and rain water simply rolls off. Its application can be applied to the building of new awning manufacturing as well as an after market addition.
